🍽 Czech Beer Festival Prague

Prague, Czech Republic · May 15–31

The Czech Republic produces the best lager in the world — Pilsner Urquell, Budvar, Kozel, Gambrinus — and the Prague Beer Festival brings over 70 Czech breweries together in one place for 17 days. Over 400 beers poured by producers who care deeply about what's in the glass, with half-litre pours at prices that make every other European capital feel irresponsible. Czech food to match: svíčková, goulash, fried cheese. The setting at Letňany is functional rather than beautiful but nobody comes for the venue.

Local Knowledge

The Czech per-capita beer consumption is the highest in the world, so the knowledge in the tents is genuine. Ask staff for regional recommendations — smaller Bohemian breweries are often the best pours. The festival is 20 minutes by metro from the city centre.
